Before studying art her life was spent in the world of dance and theatre, a perfect companion to her passion for drawing and painting. "When I wasn't dancing I was sketching people, especially dancers. My parents, both naturally artistic, encouraged me to keep exploring art." Today, ballet remains a strong creative influence, and Aimee's ballerina paintings are often described as dreamlike and ethereal. Greatly influenced by the human form, her nudes and portraits express raw human emotion and sentiment using fast and expressive brushwork. Her work is admired for its comparitively loose and liberal technique which allows the paint to create its own rhythms and imperfections, reminiscent of real life.

Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
