National Plant Network's grower approved selections take the guesswork out of gardening! The Podocarpus Maki, also known as the Shrubby Yew Pine, Shrubby Podocarpus, or Chinese Podocarpus, is a naturally compact evergreen tree, native to the mountainous regions of Japan and China. It produces soft, deep green, needle-like foliage, similar in appearance to the foliage of a rosemary plant. The Maki is great for hedges, foundation planting, accents, containers, and can even be trained as a bonsai tree. Plant in full sun to partial shade and water deeply when the top inch of soil is dry.
- Offer contains (1) Podocarpus Maki in a 3 gallon grower container
- Mature size 8-10' tall and 3-5' wide
- Best grown in USDA Hardiness Zones 7-11

- Produces dark green needle-like foliage
- Great for hedges, foundation planting, accents, or containers
- Thrives in well-draining soil with consistent moisture
- This plant is considered toxic to humans and pets if ingested
- This product ships year round, please be mindful of active weather when placing orders to avoid temperature related damage
